Come on, guys, you should read more true crime stories where husbands/boyfriends kill their partners, like idk, read about alpine divorce for e.g., they have trusted their men enough to go to the mountains alone with them. if there is a suspicion about your man, you better suspect him thoroughly. Yes, she was wrong about her fiancee but better safe than sorry. She did have evidence to feed that suspicion even though circumstantial. I still think she should have secretly went to her brother to ask for help but considering a traitor was in her own house it is a good thing that she didnt. She probably had got strong maternal instinct too and acted that way to save her unborn child. I still do not understand why the assassin did not just kill her, it would save so much trouble for the psycho sister later.
