honestly, i can't give her or all the similar characters the benefit of the doubt, bc at the end of the day, they're characters created by a very real human being who made them that dumb and made the plotline that stupid, nonsensical and childish.
Bland? Yes. Is the fl and bit frustrating at times? Sure. But that frustration comes from the fact that we as the readers can see/know the truth. If it was truly your life on the line and you didn't know who to trust, her actions make sense. We're there other options? Sure. But hindsight is 20/20 and calling her a dumb stupid bitch who threw away a perfect husband/life over a "little misunderstanding" is so wildly unjustified and ridiculous. Is this the best story I've ever read? Far from it. It's not thar great. But if you've got nothing else to read, I at least enjoyed it enough to say it's better than nothing and certainly better than many other things out there.
