I feel like these days , reading yaois/ manhwas are becoming less exciting ( idk if it's adulting or not ) than like back then in 2021/2022/2023 ? Most of my favourite manhwas ended like Nerd Project, it's just a dream right, Sketch , Pearl boy , Twilight , Pizza delivery...etc . It's not like new manhwas are boring, I'm enjoying Borderline, Soft Night , Things that deserve to die etc. Still it just doesn't feel like the way it used to be.
Let me know your thoughts too !

I havent been reading for THAT long like some people, so I can't say I attached a certain feeling to my earlier reading experiences that I'd think it doesn't feel the same? Idk if that makes sense lol. like I was late to the party for most stories, they were either over or I was there for the release of 1 last season or smth. So yeah most of my faves finished releasing and now I'm just reading other stories that I find good ( ̄▽ ̄). I know that there are some stories that are just unique and can't be replaced, but I'm the type to just reread instead of trying to look for stories that evoke the feelings I got from a certain one. But if I do find something like that all the better!

i feel you.. but in my case ifl i just can’t stumble upon stories that can satisfy my brain itch no matter how hard i look for one. I’ve been hooked to The Summer Hikaru Died and i just wanna read stories with similar deep, existential, and beautiful complex plots. So yes, i think it really is adulting! xD

I had this thought like days ago, and I figured out ( in my case that is ) that it's in fact bcs of adulting. but not because I changed preferences, my preferences didn't 'mature' ,, it's more like I started to nitpick what I read because I don't have enough time to read stuff I don't find worth reading to it's entirety.

Because years ago I had so much free time to read anything from the horrible slop to very cringe to stories with really slow buildups to the end parts where it actually gets good, and I even had the time to go back and read a series I initially dropped.

All that was possible since I had no time restrictions, but now I only have 2 days of free time and realistically only 3 hours for reading comics, so now I just opt to read a couple few that I deem are very interesting while immediately dropping ones I didn't like all that much...

which is really sad ... to my supposed to be fun activity turn somewhat unenjoyable now that i have to consider if what I'm reading is worth using my 3 hours of free time for...
