Overall I liked it, but I thought it was a super melodramatic story.
In addition, I wished this was just full on dark atmosphere instead of flip flopping between the chibis. I can't take this seriously knowing the character has suffered greatly just to see him portrayed as a round cheek big eyed chibi enjoying a yuzu cookie in the next panel over. It resets the tone of the story constantly and made it hard to retain certain emotional reaction I had.
I did enjoy how much they liked and wanted each other but at the same time, I couldn't really connect to their feelings. Given that Bottom was an abused child, is it surprising he fell for the first person who treated him kindly? The top was treated like a monster, is it surprising he fell for the first person who didn't fear and hate him despite that fact? Their attraction was too convenient, their yearning starts to fall flat.
Still a decent read though, at the end of the day. Just not as amazing as many other commenters made it out to be imo ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
