I thought I'd dislike this more because everyone says this is bad and toxic but ..... They're both kind of crazy for each other and I'm not mad about it? This is a mafia story so I'll shut my mouth about the rape and violence that occured. It's within expectation ig. Granted the way it happened was truly disturbing and I was very taken aback, but at the same time, I was intrigued by the insanity of it. A car crash you cannot look away from.
Ceaser is shamelessly crazy and Leewon is self aware he's crazy for still having affection for Ceaser despite that. I think their battle royal game in the side story perfectly encapsulates that. A relationship based on calculated chasing and being chased, unable to let go or desire to truly escape, still wanting each other at the worst times. The relationship itself is beyond normal logic but it's a dynamic that works for me.
This story was surprisingly more plot driven than I expected, in a good way. If it had all been smut and sex from beginning to end, I'd probably dropped. There's a lot of push and pull moments that I enjoyed because it built character and added dimension to the story and relationship.
Overall, I enjoyed this. I won't recommend this for people who want sweet healthy relationships but if you're looking for unhealthy obsessive codependent relationship then please read this!

Hate when people recommend a "sad" story that I'm thinking will have the loss of and grieving for loved ones, self harm, mental health issues related, etc, idk, something more complex and layered with nuance, but it's just a rape slop story where the character gets tortured from beginning to end. Like boohoo it's so sad he's getting gangraped left and right, I'm not sad, I'm pissed the author thought this was content worth drawing in detail for every panel every chapter.
Rape slop stories don't count as "sad" stories because it's clearly fetish content. We've lost the damn plot.
