Xinlu has always been involved in the plot it would have made not a lick of sense for them to reunite right there this is how they resolve xinlu's and tays relationship. If they did reunite his brother would've been tooken and Xinlu would still be chasing after Tay and then everything would still be left unresolved y'all are stupid as shit this ain't even complicated just say you have low IQ. It was either Xinlu and Tay talk it out with each other or Xinlu feelings for Tay don't addressed at all and we move on? It’s dragging. Xinlu could’ve been resolved at the festival. He is not serving the characters arks, he is just a tool used by the writer to separate the main characters again. And story resolution doesn’t have to be the same as his character getting resolution. His story could end with him forever obsessed with Tay, that’s a valid end. End something!
