This was okay, not too bad, not particularly great. The world building was actually pretty good and the zombie mutations were an interesting aspect. I do like the overall dynamic between the main couple, although I wish the reveal of MC being the actual doc happened later on, I would've liked to see more of a slow burn and struggle between the MC and the ML. There weren't enough missions of them together and overall esper/guide situations. It would've been cool to see the ML be brought back from a near berserk state with the help of the MC for example, or for the ML to just showcase his abilities more. The action aspect wasn't strong enough for my taste. We basically had more guide session smut than actual guide/esper collaboration on the field.
Yet again, second couple supremacy stands - the B tier guide and the lieutenant seem more interesting. Lieutenant Yoo seems especially more intriguing than the other characters because his sunny persona seems to be a front and his past opened up questions - he's supposed to be the son of a rich family, and yet he tried to commit suicide. I wanna know about him, and I want to see the bickering love-hate between him and the B tier guide.
The doctor subplot was just annoying, I generally find creepy characters who get in the way just to create drama and tension very boring and annoying, as well as repetitive as a plot device. The creepy doctor's research however was interesting and for that, I won't hate on it too much.
