100% agree, am really suprised at author for doing omegaverse, just very oddly stereotypical for them, and quite literally does not need to be here in this story anyway. And I feel the same way, I would at least have been intrigued if they made it a bit more trope breaking making an taller alpha bottom and a shorter beta top- just kind of meh overall, author is one of my fave of all time, and im sure it will still be pretty peak, just had an opportunity for it to stand out a lot more and add something different.
This could've been so my cup of tea if it weren't omegaverse, if the beta still had short hair, and if he were actually the top !!
I like this author because they usually break away from the typical top/bottom stereotypes, but this one just ended up being the same old conventional tall alpha on top, smaller beta uke dynamic.
