The last "panel" only contains text, which technically makes it NOT a panel. BUT, I believe the last panel contributes equally to the comic, acting itself as if it were a third drawing and therefore panel.
The two panels above it tell a straight forward story: "Guy meets Girl, Girl gets an ick". With the third it makes a simple action into a whole story with a first, second and a third act.
It also adds layers. Is it saying ''END <3'' because the scene has come to an end? or is the comic meant to encapsulate his life trajectory as: "GMG,GGI. END of story"
It is pedantic to say this is 3 panels?
