Even if Rowen is a villain

So? Better to try to escape than be a puppet Rowan wants to use. Even if he's the only one with a plan, that doesn't change the fact that he's a villain and should disappear.

I honestly don't know why you're making excuses for Rowan. I've been reading the comments and you always seem to encourage his behaviour, making excuses for him or approve the things he does. Weird

So murdering and ending up killed since it would be the death penalty is a great plan? Saving money and running away was never an option? Besides being extremely selfish, the MC would get depressed and die because she would think it was her fault. And like Rowen said, his plan worked, it was just executed differently, meaning they aren't trying to escape, they are doing exactly what Rowen expects of them

At no point am I defending his actions, I just said he is the only one who has a plan. Saying someone has a plan doesn't mean you're defending them, I don't know if you missed reading comprehension classes, but making a statement, giving an opinion, and talking about something that is happening are different things. I get frustrated because at the beginning the MC had plans and was more calculating, and in this flashback both her and Gil are making me mad with how foolish and impulsive they are. It's like they have no sense of reality and live in a fantasy world with no consequences. This half of the story wasn't even necessary, it could have just been a plot twist showing her husband was the big villain and them getting together after that confrontation on the ice.

Saying that he is the only one with a plan is not the same thing as justifying his actions. As I said earlier, a statement of fact and an opinion are two different things. A statement of fact is reading him say he has a plan and noting that he is the only one who has one. An opinion would be commenting that his plan is excellent and well-crafted, or that it is terrible. I would be defending him if I were commenting things like 'He is doing all this for the MC to be free, or he is just misunderstood'.

If being petty means I have to come here and give lessons on reading comprehension, then feel free to call me petty.

She is not defending anyone. Is this where we have gotten to? If the story would have started here from the beginning everyone would have agreed that fl and ml are idiots. Dont think of consequences and are living in a fantasy world. SO FAR he has been the only one with a plan and executed it. You know why he has succeeded? Because both of them have been predictable BECAUSE they are not thinking of what might happen in advance. But because the story starts with both their characters being developed and them becoming smarter overtime you are ignoring the fact that here, as young adults they are just acting alone their emotions without anyother thought. Wait wait. I tried to ignore the notifications to this but... oh well. You're misunderstanding something. We've never said that Rowen isn't smart, i personally said that he's evil and jealous and probably a psychopath by doing all of this. He's not going all out only because he has feelings for the FL. The problem i have, like everyone else here, is because this person repeatedly commented under different comments and also made ones as well where they're making some kind of excuses and explanations like "don't hate him so early on because this and that" and something similar to that. Why should i not have the freedom to hate him? As normal people, everyone's first comment would be, oh he's a petty manipulative jerk that does everything for his own benefits. So.. let me come back to this now. It doesn't matter whether he was the only one with the plan, the facts won't change that he's a bad person and that tried to distance the FL and ML. The reasons we hate him are plain simple. It doesn't involve some deep philosophy.

Yes, he is the antagonist, but what exactly has he done so bad to be considered a full villain. Apart from looking after his interests and playing it smart. If he was such a villain he could have very well had mc killed with very minimal work from his part with all the bull those to have been doing. He didnt. So what exactly do you want him to do.
