It literally healed something in me when the dad AND grandpa treated Ian like the kid that he is. Seeing male adult figures in almost every manhwa having beef with a literal kid for being the opposite gender seems so toxic.
Im not done about complimenting the story. The fl ACTUALLY CARES ABOUT HER DEAD MOM. THEY RARELY DO.
'my mom died giving birth to me' and then it's done. Even if her entourage misses her mother, the fls rarely actually care or feel sad about their mom. TIEL CARES. SHE CARRIES HER MOM WITH HER EVERYWHERE SHE GOES. She cries for her, she takes her picture, she makes her a snowman. TIEL CARES. AND THAT ISN’T AS USUAL AS IT SOUNDS. Hundreds of mothers died giving birth and I can (including Tiel) only remember like 2 fls crying for their mother.
Other characters are allowed to be overpowered and loved by their god. Karl. Karl actually mattered. He isn’t just a stepping stone for Tiel to build a harem. Unusual.
THE CHILDREN ARE FRIENDS, and they are their own selves with distinct personalities. The crown prince has a personality!! Shocker!! He isn’t just the gloomy ml there to be fl's accessory (I could mention dozens...)
The adults although doting are rational (ESPECIALLY HER FATHER. One of my favourite manhwa dads out there really)
