reading the after season author's note... so the novel isnt even 19+
so does it mean all those dubious consent sex didn't happen in the novel?
I think the story will also work without them, bc frankly it feels a bit nasty how the grand duke seem to hate him but also have sex with him. even if there's a story there, he hell bent to keep it to himself, the author hell bent to keep it from readers too for the whole season...
all the time while I am reading i am feeling apprehensive whether I have been scammed. what if the mystery reveal wont be enough to justify all those dubious consent sex.
and so far I still haven't liked the mc. he got guts and clever, which I like about him. but his relationship and dynamic with the duke kinda ruined it.
I said this bc as reader I was completely in the dark about their past for one season. but imagine, still not liking the mc and the ml for one season, and wondering whether it's worth it... I usually not one to continue reading. but I am just being stubborn for once. If the reveal isn't good I am gonna virtually throw my phone
edit: there's nothing to justify dubious consent, what I mean is whether there's a justifiable reason to have a dubious consent in the plot (story-wise, fiction wise). like whether it'll only make the plot awkward for the sake of fan service or it'll actually fit the story as well
