but what the heck is Root entities and how are they related to the dungeons... First timr having read a story of this genre where I actually don't understand what the heck it's talking about
Also, according to MC, his real identity was an art teacher who, during the time when the catastrophe happened, awakened the moment he entered his paitings. I suspect two things: 1, I think the reason why he sees the system and seems to also possess an ability to paint and create things is probably because he's what the world calls him a hunter but like "painter" class. I don't think his abiities to spawn things are limited to inside the painting. 2, I feel like the story is leading towards the plot that MC's students are now, in the present, the top hunters in the world. The leader of the association's hair kinda looks like on of his students, and maybe that kinda explains why she wanted to purchase his portrait in the first place.
This story is really unique tho. I genuinely don't have any idea where this is leading.

From ch.8, I think it will be easier to think of The Main Root like a God
Except “The Root” did not create the world/dimension, The Root just regulated and created the Rules and systems and sent it to the world/dimension that already existed.
Now that we know what the Root has done is created dungeons, monsters and give power to humans. Root places the Root entities in each planet and select the gardener to take care of its entities.
And the dungeons raid in this story from ch.5 it’s call stories, basically if you want to defeat the monsters in dungeons you have to learn each monster’s stories. Like in the restaurant dungeons they win the raid by cooking the food and become a chef.
The identity of our MC is still unclear, like the white haired said, the things that come from root or “The Root’s child” is most likely suspect, look at how MC can create things from nowhere and have ability to cross dimensions
So to summarize in 1 paragraph, our world was peaceful until the god called Roots come, here’s come the dungeons, the monsters, some humans become monsters and some receive the power and become hunters. Root creates the rules and the system. MC can intervene and/or create things from nothing and that’s similar to Root. So the white haired thinks MC has some relationship with “Roots”
