Because he is an insecure bitch and the verbal abuse got him thinking he is worthless. He thinks she is the boss and has the final say. Also what I tried to say was for her to tell everything even if she is leaving him so she won’t have any regrets and if the relationship is already broken there is no need to save faces and stay quiet. Neither of them are bright enough to understand the other side so sometimes talking without thinking makes it easier to get understood and realise your feelings
