The MC being so dense is so much more annoying when you notice how everyone else has a brain but him. The only thing that makes MC a good captain is his physical ability (if that). The only excuse he has for being so emotionally delicate is the pregnancy, which would be fine if it weren't for the fact he acted similarly in the side stories.
EXACTLY!! i just can't for the life of me comprehend why authors choose to make the mc dumb & naive. they always gradually lose even more brain cells as the plot continues lmao. i live for cunning & manipulative mcs but the author didn't even try with this one (/TДT)/
i'm all for toxic mls bc they keep the plot interesting but this ones so boring & hypocritical. i just can't stand that the prince sleeps around but feels offended that he wasn't louis' first, then calls him a slut & rapes him. but later finds out that he is the father, gaslights & takes advantage of him anyways lmao. he's relieved when he discovers that louis wasn't actually a whore but was just under the influence of the drug lmfao. just bc he doesn't kill people, he really isn't so different from his cousin. & the mc is too timid & naive to be a captain. how on earth has he lived so long outside of his mansion?
