It's probably the author's intent for Logan to dethrone this king and become the king himself. To make the king such a small minded idiot to get there, though, is kinda lazy writing imo.
I kinda sus at the begining. The author didn't explain much or showing what character the third prince are. The only explaination is the perspective of our MC that he got from others too. Third prince build his image as gentle, smart and wise. The truth is, he doesn't do anything. He just waiting for his father loyalist to do the dirty work and serve him the throne on silver platter. In truth is he's arrogant, cunning and stupid too i think. He has very weak mentality and panaroid, that's why he easily to sway and afraid of Logan power who he actually got with his own. I absolutely hate this useless king.
