Can we stop acting as if there was a right or wrong person in this whole situation? They both have done something to the other as a consequence to previous actions (Mok-yeon started it all). It's all just a huge snowball getting bigger; Nanjo got fed up of everything and is now avoiding it by pushing everyone away. Mok-yeon has wronged him multiple times and is now paying for his actions. No, this does not excuse Nanjo beating him, but it does explain his frustration and why he did so. Those who say Nanjo is wrong or that this season is worse than the first just can't read between the lines of everything that's being shown. The story doesn't focus solely on the plot, it focuses on the psychology of the characters. There's no right side to choose because none of them did anything right from the beginning. Mok-yeon's decisions caught up to him, and partly, so did Nanjo's

Upvoted. Most readers on this site only read surface level, and most opinions are borne out of self insert mentality, so they can't read between the lines. Most nuances intended by the author doesn't even register for them. They only see black and white. That's why they fight over these things because how can they understand something that they can't even see?

Exactly. Those readers should stick to surface level plots or just stop complaining and make an effort to understand the story

On the contrary, it's good for them (and for more sincere readers too, the more readers demand complex plots, the more they will get them and not the usual slop) to read complex plots and stories. What should happen differently is that more readers like you should engage them. Talking about stories, analysing them comprehensively, it's good for everyone.

Yes that's exactly what I meant by making an effort to understand the story! Maybe instead of complaints it'd be better to just have doubts

Absolutely. Having doubts is a position of growth.
