You were not at all, and it was a light hearted joke that I found funny too. It in no way came off as you insulting the author or being rude. Obv the author put it in as a joke knowing 80% of the readers wont know wtf was going on. Thats one of the biggest charms of this story (along w every other aspect ofc). Im sorry the commentor wasnt able to catch that and are taking it to heart (while reading illegally on this this site- how ironic.)
