Yeah, that's some bûllshît. Sounds like soul became so OP they decided to punish all players instead.
Like how game developers have to tweak the system because the game was too easy.

Ummm its like he forgot when they get home that place is going to HELL...so wouldn't it be better to return awakened? They basically said he'd lose all the powers he was using of souls...( the shield and party health) so I don't understand. But I guess they start from quest zero again and hope for the same items?
