People deal with trauma differently and sadly for the Empress, she chose to be bad. Unlike Tia who chose her second life to make sure the people she cares about survives and she did not hurt anyone in the process. Even those who are unkind to her like Bellesac, she chose to give him and his mother mercy. You're blind if you think Lavini doesn't deserve what she got. Even the second prince who uses underhand tactics isn't as bad as her. Perez was just capable enough to anticipate her move and counter it. Her downfall is her own doing.
I do like lavini a loootttt as a character.... BUT comparing her to Tia isn't it.
I mean, Perez is exacting revenge for all the times Lavini has tried to kill him and for his sufferings and hardships. So him using the same tricks as Lavini can be considered as mutual consent.
Tia is morally good and doesn't kill nor do assassinations or torture. So...
I just think that Lavini, will always be evil, AND I WILL LOVE HER FOR BEING ONE OF THE BEST VILLAINESS, because of her moral foundations.
Yeah, sure, Lombardi house might've done a lot of underhanded tricks to keep their power but what we're talking about isn't the houses but the characters.
Agenas have done morethan their fair share of evil deeds. For heaven's sake, they don't even pay their debts!
Lavini is such a GOOD VILLAINESS because she's evil at the root of her moral core. She's morally corrupt, due to her upbringing and the patriarchal society and time during her life, and that's what makes her such a lovable and hatable character! She's TRUE to her WANTS and SELF and SHE HAS BRAINS AND GOALS.
A redemption arc where she could've mended her ways... I don't think I would like her. I mean, how can you reconcile from torturing a kid, trying to kill them, killing loyal servants just coz they don't have use of them anymore or maiming your brother? How? In all of this, Duigi has always listened to Lavini yet he has lost his tongue when he spoke up. You can't have a redemption arc after that.

I wanted the empress to get the throne. Not her son or the Ml. She herself. Shes right to treat her relatives that way cuz thats how they treated her just because shes a woman. I wish theres a timeline where the empress turns time back and achieves what she wants.
If its right for lombardis, tia and the second prince to use dirty tricks cuz they were abused previously, then so is it when the empress does it, she is just as abused here.
There is no way a big political house like lombardi keeps being in power without using underhanded immoral tricks, but since theyre the mcs house and the plot doesnot show it and emphasizes it at the same time with the angenas, how old even was the empress when the brown family incident happened? Shes the villain here because shes not the perfect victim and actually took measures to survive
