Real. Cool plot hole, though, I doubt they’d have used it bc it doesn’t align for the ending they probably want or had in mind (the novel, for example tho idk how it ends). Like imagine you’re used to produce an heir and then mistreated and isolated for the rest of your life so they could usurp the throne. Then you come back and plan for everything to be different. They would have had to scrap the ML and probably all other plot points lol.
If you only need the blood, it’s logical to marry the Princess and have her Imperial Bloodline passed down to your children. She’ll even willingly give you her blood to use since she loved you so much, you dumbass, you were handed a golden ticket and you sneered at it. Idiot. Fool. You could have even usurped the throne the moment you had secured an heir with her and installed yourself as Emperor and Empress. Dumbass jerk.
