I have a lot of opinions

Seolmyo keeps getting done so dirty with their novel to manhwa adaptations. First TRPISAO and now this istg ya'll just hate them. I'm really upset because this one was my favorite of the two and Renato looks like an absolute pussy. He has so many achievements but it's all just been cut out Over the course of the novel we see him slowly gain confidence over time as he realizes that being a beta can't hold him back and he gradually begins to gain the respect of the aristocracy. His cunningness as he completely fools Marquis Meduse is one of my favorite parts of the novel. Renato is very politically savvy and aware of his situation rather than the naive mess he's been shown to be. That's all been cut out and for what?! It didn't even make the story seem better it's so clunky and rushed now. Shit just keeps happening out of nowhere when that's simply not true. Arke and Iris's introduction two of Renato's biggest allies who helped him create the beta faction were just scraped over in a single chapter. I'm glad Renato's ptsd was atleast somewhat explained but it wasn't even good, that hynosis session with Suad who wasn't even properly introduced mind you was one of the most heartbreaking parts of the novel. Yet again cut down and condensed for no reason because IT'S DEFINITELY FOR SURE NOT MAKING THE STORY BETTER. The emperor's neglect which led to Renato being stuck in the situation that he is right now is not even hinted at Khalid maybe mentions one line about the empreror and that's it. It's a complete bastardization of one of my favorite omegaverse novels. It's been ages since the first season came out, I hope the second got canceled. I fear how they'll address Khalid and Mariam's relationship one of the most important parts of his character. From the slight mentions of her it didn't seem bad but looking at how Renato's important character moments have been handled I hold no hope. Hate it, hate it, hate it. 3/10 go read the novel for this and for Rogue Prince because that one is also shitty.
