Honestly yh cause a good reason Tia even won was cause she has her past life's memories and could somewhat plan accordingly. Lavini's this evil and calculated through only one life.
I think more than Tia she was a good opponent for Perez cause even in his first life he still successfully took over the throne so shows he was able to outsmart her with only one life as well.
Also her nails .
I know we all hate her.... but don't you just admire her tenacity??????
If she was a little bit moral and not power hungry, she'd be as excellent as Shananet.
I mean, her morals were VERY VERY QUESTIONABLE.... But she was such a good opponent for Tia.
