Unfortunately, that's just part of the korean culture. Authors live in Korea that have "appearance is everything" standard so you see this in every manhwa. I read a line that sum it up this standard "You can fix personality but fixing face costs money".
I just noticed that in most manhwas I've read, when someone ask what they like about the other person, the usual first answer is always the face. Hahaha. Nothing wrong with it since we all have a type. Just thinking if the face card always comes first then the personality? (￣▽￣)
