This was so heartwarming for me. Nico’s arc for me was an important turning point. The snippet of 182 (hypothetically named Wing), with the girl reminds me of Dante’s characteristic. He is someone from the outside and is more knowledgeable in humane values. In that chaotic world, he’d surely stand out and survive the most if not all.
Something symbolic about 182 being named wing as he is now clipped (his other wing is gone) forcing him to be stuck in that cage. I am a sucker for bird allegories! (Maybe Gonzales and Nico’s relationship gave a bit of a window between 182 and the girl’s relationship.)
