We wouldn't know unless we also get amnesia. But in RL, amnesia isn't just affecting the memories, it literally fucks you up. If it's a really bad amnesia, you even forget how to read or write, even holding a spoon and fork would be hard since you'll have to learn them again. So if we base it on that, if during amnesia you forget those trivial things you usually do naturally, then you'll be fine if you get your memories back. Since you'll know how to hold spoon and fork properly again since you remember how to. Then if we base it on that, the ML's passion, care and love for MC would be the same since he remembers it now.
Hmmm I wonder if in RL, by recovering the memories, does one also feel emotionally the same as before? As in, is ML’s passion, care and love for the MC the same as before losing the 7 years worth of precious memories?
