Yeah i agree that those with a healthy relationship to sex shouldn't be in a mental space where they get off on sexual assault or any form of non consensual sexual acts. However, we also dont know the author's mind, nor their experiences, like for example with fanfiction I know many authors who write about it as a way to vent, sometimes in such graphic detail its obvious theyre recounting their own experience.
Thus I'm not sure if it is as simple as labelling the author weird since we simply dont know them. I'm not trying to say this is a recounting of their own experience nor that they aren't making it fap material but rather that we aren't in a position to cast judgement on a sexual fantasy that doesn't manifest into real life harm.
But this is a topic I've not thought about very deeply nor articulated myself a bunch so idk if im expressing myself well, I know this is a very sensitive topic and I dont want to come across like I condone sexual assault or rape.

I've highkey got an opinion I know people will shit on. This is rape, at the least its coercive and thus still rape. I'm 100% sure the author is aware of it, and also of the fact that they're lowkey kind of into it, or playing it up for an audience that finds it appealing.
A common argument against the depiction of rape in BLs I see is that it's romanticised, and I agree that can be the case but I don't think it is in this one. Neither do I think it's exactly unnecessary for the plot.
He has an unhealthy relationship with his boss, it's the author's decision to write that out how they please, and they decided to make that a sexual one with clear problematic power dynamics. Furthermore, with the last chapter and the boss mentioning how he's grown up, I believe we are in for more fucked up shit. However, writing about rape doesn't necessarily mean they condone it in real life.
I'm saying this because a lot of people seem to be up in arms bashing the author, who I don't know much about to be honest, over their depiction of rape.
But I just don't think they've written in a way that suggests they condone it. Like the MC is absolutely furious with the old man and the situation the ML is in. It doesn't come across as them minimising it, but I do get the sense that they are making it more palatable for the audience who get off on it.
As I'm writing this im finding it harder to articulate what im trying to get at, so I apologise for that and if my point is quite convoluted.
Essentially the rape in this is never confused for anything but rape. But it is made to be material for people to masturbate to as well, and that's this odd area where you condemn the action in real life but thought crimes aren't real. So its simply that people that want to goon to this will, and we can be up in arms about it but that doesnt really do anything. Idk im genuinely waffling atp.
