To me, ashiya and abeno have the same vibe as Richard and Seigi from housekishou richard-shi, except Seigi and Richard are gay for each other. It's originally a light novel, which is finished as of now (though not yet fully translated to English) but there's also a manga that is currently releasing. (There's also one season of anime but don't bother)
Richard is a beautiful blonde foreigner with a jewelry store and Seigi saves him from some drunk dudes and gets a part time job there. It's a very slow burn, but Seigi is like whipped immediately by his "beautiful boss", he's calling Richard beautiful and shit every 3 pages lol, which reminds me of how ashiya sometimes goes on weird tangents about how abeno is beautiful lol. Bonus points is you can learn a lot about rocks and geology which is one of my interests so I'm a bit biased.
I cant believe I found this MASTERPIECE OMG!! ITS SO GOOD!!!! Their chemistry is just on top! I know this aint bl but I truly love this kind of trope so much so if anyone is reading this suggest me something like this but make it bl this time around
