I love your pov on both characters, especially how much shin see his younger self in ryujin but he is wrong on one point that ryujin isn't someone who he can mold according to his needs and decisions that can lead him to hell with him more funny part is shin is weak emotionally meanwhile even after getting broken everytime in his life ryujin never thought of dying unless he lost hope or reason since shin gave revenge as reason ryujin is alive and keeping his instincts in check to survive each time makes shin think of something over time.. regarding ryujin that ryujin is changing and getting stronger instead of crying. He still keep him human side not monster side like shin to survive

“I thought you’d give in after a few punches” “i never thought you’d fight back” I think this is the fundamental difference between the both of them. And as much as Haebom wants to mould Ryujin and drag him into the pitts of hell with him, this is why they’ll always clash. I believe they are foils of each other in this sense.
