The fact the webtoon confirms the father of child is...

Is her 1st husband makes this story so dark.

Especially when its clearly the ML, who killed her 1st husband or atleast was involved in the conspiracy involving it. And the fact she was having sex with the ML throughout her pregnancy while carrying the child of her first husband...is so messed up.
The ML in this webtoon version is a confirmed cuck, banging the pregnant widow of the man he murdered. And the FL is trapped as a hostage in this messed-up situation between a psychopathic ML - who confused her kindness to him as romantic interest, her 1st husband predatory relatives wanting access to her son, and the sinister King (whom ordered her to marry the ML and whom the ML is the right-hand-man of) who saw her 1st husband as a threat to his crown and by extension this makes her son also at risk should his real heritage be officially recognised.

Yikes. Poor kid and poor FL the whole thing is so twisted. In the novel apparently the author never confirmed the identity of the child's father. I think the webtoon chose to confirm its the 1st husband to make the theme of this story even darker. Which is usually the opposite for a webtoon, they often try to "tone it down" with the dark stuff from a web novel.

And for those who say the FL "doesn't deserve the ML he deserves better..." wth is wrong with you????
He was involved in the killing of her husband (and father of her unborn child), trapped her into marriage and took away her son's birthright and chance to know his father. Instead her child will now grow up
the "legal" son of the commoner who murdered his father and whose parental heritage people will always whisper about.
What normal woman would be "happy" with the circumstance the ML created for the FL?

He made her lay with him during the mourning period when she was still grieving her husband.

Their marriage wasn't perfect but...
She did love her husband and wasn't unhappy with him - she WANTED his child but the King gave her medicine to make her infertile until the husband intervened.
Her life is now much more worse thanks to the ML than it was before.
