postpartum depression + a slew of mental health issues. In this setting, losing your husband while having 2 kids is one of the worst things that can happen to a woman. The best outcome would be finding a good man to take care of her and her kids. She is deluding herself into thinking the guy she is seeing is that despite all the red flags. Somewhere in her brain she realises something is wrong which causes her to feel some guild and leads her to not even see her newborn. Very depressing shit
True, my mom got it even after a few years giving birth..... It's really no joke, that's why we can't blame her entirety
