yes, it is a happy ending. i won’t go into too much detail but it’s more bittersweet, but it’s still happy. cheonsa obviously isn’t an immortal so he won’t live forever alongside ishimi but the important thing is that ishimi chooses not to ascend as his final form and stay as he is just to be together with cheonsa. so basically the happy ending is them choosing each other and choosing to face the consequences of them staying together because their love is strong enough, but unfortunately their time is short because one’s an immortal and one’s a human.
Thank you so much! If you don't mind me asking, what happens to Ishimi after Cheonsa's death? How does he live? Is he, like, a true immortal with no death or does he simply live way longer than humans? I hope, I'm not bothering you too much. Once again, Thank you.
it doesn’t specify what happens after cheonseo’s death because the whole happy ending relies on his actual life and vitality. the story ends after they declare their love for each other and then the side stories start. ishimi is an imugi so he’s an immortal but he’s not unkillable. my guess is that ishimi will just kill himself or find a way to kill himself since he gave up the choice of becoming a full fledged dragon and he has no other purpose to live besides cheonseo
