For me I only watch them if they’re dubbed and most manhwa adaptations aren’t ever dubbed I don’t like reading subtitles while watching a show. But then there’s the other issue of the English voice acting cringing me out so there’s really no win lol. The Sasaki and miyano dub is just really cringe to me, but I LOVED Cherry magic and love stages dub. I think that’s the main issue for me personally. Sometimes drawings don’t look animated either bc they have to be simplified a lot
personally I think it's that manhwa artstyles just don't really fit animation, even some mangas lose their flair when they get animated ( like that one sailor moon panel with their hair getting blown dramatically by the wind and they all look stiff when it got animated,,, another example is lookism's animated artstyle that does not have the same sharpness and boldness as it is in the manhwa ) certain manhwa artstyles in particular just don't exactly translate well animated, it's all too detailed, too illustration like for animation ,, however you could, technically, make artstyles work with enough budget and passion for the project ( csm reze arc and mignon for example ) but from the looks of it I don't think skor is willing to go all out on producing bl animations ... yet
Is it just me? But I low-key don't like watching these animated BL manhwas/mangas ever since?? I love reading them, but seeing them in action or talking is just not it They're making me
cringe Maybe it's their voice? Or the fact that they look quite different when drawn? Like, they don't look as sharp as they look, idk. I hope someone can relate to me
