Spoiler up to the recent chapters

I read the novel a few years ago and I'm glad the manhwa's been progressing well. It's just that the current translation isn't the best, and I noticed that the plot progressed rather rapidly around the time skip. I'm treating this as a visual reference to the scenes in the novel, so I can easily fill up the gaps. I just want to highlight a few point that's been mentioned in passing, but has quite a bit of significance in understanding the current situation

After the falling out with 1st prince, Jeoffrey decided to foil the queen's plan by acting like a rogue, which was why he stopped attending classes and started going to the auction, most importantly— spending money. He sponsored slaves and similar people to go on an expedition (Mont Blanc dissuaded him but he didn't care he just wanted to spend money 'uselessly'), expecting them to run away with the amount of money. But that amount instead fueled their morale as they thought 'his highness trusts us so much!'. And in the end they actually discovered a new route, in the name of prince Jeoffrey.

Next is the winter garden. It was extremely costly and labor intense to build a garden during winter, so Jeoffrey thought it was perfect to show off his dumbness and spendthrift. But he instead sparked a new fad among the nobles and everyone started wanting a winter garden, which greatly benefitted the common people and laborers who are unable to find a source of income during winter, and kept the economic flow going.

Anyways, he started doing things that just kept elevating his status in the hearts of people, to the point that everyone actually expected him to rise to the throne. Just saying that this is significant because it's one of the reason that the 1st prince is wary of Jeoffrey, although this side didn't mean it. These would still be significant during the *cough* war arc. Plus the 1st prince truly believes that Jeoffrey is the queen's property, as he couldn't completely go against her. Out of pity, or reminding him of his real mother who raised him alone, or such reasons, Jeoffrey couldn't turn his back against the queen (some mental torture).

There are a few more I'd like to say but this already got too long. Just, I really recommend reading the novel
