Back when the manhwa officially ended, I posted my honest take about choosing the ML over Raon, and I got so much pushback from people saying readers are only looking for thrill, toxicity, and drama and that green flag characters like Raon just don't deliver on that front.
People have literally reached a point where they find healthy, sane characters 'boring' and treat abusers and tyrants like they're the ultimate ideal! It’s honestly so depressing. And no matter how much they try to gaslight me into believing “it's just a fictional manhwa so we pick those characters purely for entertainment,” I genuinely feel like people's real-life mindsets automatically project onto their choices especially when it's blind, aimless, and lacks any real understanding of who the character actually is inside.

But the difference is that we read it while actually being against what's happening. Yeah, we read for fun, excitement, and thrill because we're curious to see how it ends… but we have enough awareness when it comes to SA, and we refuse to root for the leads ending up together when it’s completely toxic or unnatural, just like right here! The whole point is that we don't make excuses for this type of content, even under the guise of "it's just a manhwa, anything goes, we're just here for the drama and red flags!"
