Sure, what the towns people are doing isnt smart eother but lol, id rather be dead than live in a world where somene dear to me died becuase they were usless and i as a doctor was kept alive. Empathy is extremly important in times of crisis such as this.
A good leader shOuld be able to make sound judgements, be empathetic, and also leader while veing aware of consequdnces, ULTMATLEY THEYRE SERVANTS of the people chosen to lead by the people. He is being a oppressive dictator.
And what des it mean to live? To survive? To exsist withouf death? To eat and sleep? To constantly live in fear? Living like cattle that eeds to be herding, being chosen as worthy or unworthy. What life is that? What makes humans different? What is dignity? What makes survival worth it?

Guwon has an absolute lack of empathy and 0 morals. While the towns peope are a group of opresssed people with intense emptions, its a disaster waiting to happen. The best case scenario is the teacher somehow lights a bulb in guwons head and he becomes more understanding amd thus a better leader or straihht up jst eveeryone dies.
