This reads to me as intermittent reinforcement and now I'm scared for garam... Intermittent reinforcement is basically when someone who used to be abused gets hit with affection suddenly by their abuser and so they automatically try to chase the high of that feeling of abuse again. I'm struggling to not hate heejae currently, I know he's going through his own struggles but garam speaks to me much more, as I said before, I feel as though he's a moth attached to the fire, he's going to burn himself if he doesn't realize what needs to be fixed in this relationship
