Bro. Wtf is this shit. This got unnecessarily confusing. I’m kind of mad. Like it was so rushed I kind of get it but don’t. Like I get they wanted to go by the source material but they couldn’t have done a better job??? What is this???????? I waited several months for this???? The characters are bleh, they’re romance is vague and suddenly onset, not even a slow burn - one minute it’s ew I hate you and then the next it’s I love you bc u want me to cry uwu. The ending is so abrupt it doesn’t feel like a proper closure, even if there’s going to be a side story on their “falling in love” again. The fight was confusing. His skills are confusing. Dawg I don’t even remember him getting “sacrifice” but maybe because it’s been a while. His plan to reverse time is poorly explained like wtf does his skills mean. The swapped AUs are confusing - so seonwoo with the dungeons video game knowledge is the original seonwoo for that universe? And the seonwoo in the “regular” world is in his right universe? I think that’s right. But then I’m even more confused by what the fuck his parents were talking about being a dungeon hunter bc if that’s the regular world, why are they mentioning being a hunter? Like on god… this needed to be longer. It’s so poorly executed and rushed. I was ok with their romance so long as the story was longer and we got more romance screen time but the way it ended (again, even if there’s going to be romance side stories it’s buns)?? I’m disappointed wtf lol

Now to give a more articulate reason as to why this bothers me:

Instantly dropped to a 1 star once I hit chapter 60-62 which is LITERALLY THE ENDING? This was so rushed I’m ill. Even if it’s based on the novel beat for beat, they could have taken some liberties of their own and lengthened the story. Its ending is so abrupt, poorly explained, rushed, and poorly executed it leaves the reader whiplashed. I have never turned on a manhwa so fast in my life. The romance wasn’t even that good, hence why I was expecting it to be longer (alleged side stories aside). I wouldn’t be so appalled or scathing if it didn’t end the way it did. The whole story wasn’t well explained and a lot of things have been left unsaid and unexplained- aka there are a lot of loose ends and plot holes bc of this ending. What happened to the dungeons? Why are there suddenly more dungeons after the first climactic battle (in the video game) came to an end? What happened to that key master seonwoo was taking care of? What was the deal with the seonwoos swapping universes and why? Why did the regular universe seonwoo’s parents mention being a hunter when dungeons don’t exist? If seonwoo from the dungeon world mentioned that as a kid why doesn’t he remember? Why doesn’t he remember ever swapping? Why does one seonwoo remember and not the other? What was all that penalty gibberish when jehee reversed time? What really made jehee fall in love with seonwoo aside from forcing him to cry for a funeral?? What happened to the guild leader who said he wanted seonwoo to die bc he was liking jehee’s expressions - they were building him up as if he was going to be used as a later antagonist? Like I’m mad.

Ik this may seem dramatic but sometimes I like to read/review critically even if it’s not meant to be and even if I begin to read it for the entertainment and not analysis. Forgive me, literature gets me going
