Depends on the person. I've only been given something someone made especially for my birthday once so I'd rather have more of that no matter how small. Honestly tho in this economy they'd probably appreciate the pocket money more
I don't know, to be honest, I like things that come from the heart more than anything you've just bought. But well, you can put thought into things you've bought too, so I guess they can come from the heart as well ╮(￣▽￣)╭
honestly no matter the person I do prefer money than gifts cuz then I can spend it on what I actually like instead they gift me somthing I won't care for.. but if they do gift me something, specially handmade, It would make me happy, they probably thought really hard about it, they thought about me while making it, that is enough of a gift. I sound like an optimistic freak rn but i personally don't care about gifts, would lowk be greatful for even getting one
Guys be honest, if ur sibling (a working adult) gifted u a watercolor bookmark they drew themselves for ur birthday, would u be happy? Or would u rather they gave u pocket money? Lol now that I'm writing it down the answer seems kinda obvious
