forbiddencylinder has the translations. I actually really recommend the novel i think it’s super interesting. It definitely deals with a lot of heavy topics tho, and the ‘revenge’ is more so the collapse of the royal family and the dictatorship regime. The ML does grow to yearn for the MC but in the sense that he’s insanely crazy over him, not in a healthy way lol

Basically the first gang rape incident took place before Ryujin joined the white lions. He was assaulted by his highschool classmates who he thought were his friends (dw he gets revenge on them later on in the novel). This isn’t a scene in the novel or manhwa it’s just referenced as a flashback. But the second instance will be adapted in the manhwa soon, which Ha Shinsung alluded to Haebum while being tortured, that’s why he bowed his head and begged the ML not to make Ryujin’s life even more miserable. Essentially the ML does this to the MC because behind the scenes, he serves as a ‘pimp’ for Kwon Joohyuk (the political authority of the Disciplinary Corps). He’s basically the diddy of this world and him and his personal soldiers gang rape Ryujin to feel him out, knowing that his sister was the “national adulteress”.

Yeah that’s the part he mentally age regressed to a point in time where his grandmother and sister were still alive as a defense mechanism from the trauma of it all. But it literally lasted like a day… I will say the novel seriously downplays the severity of rape and assault, but I guess this just stems from living in a dystopian dictatorship, and ppl like the ML needing to sacrifice everything and suffer through the most extreme and brutal conditions just to alleviate the hate they harbor towards the regime
