I hope the manhwa changes the final arc because it sucks so much I loved this until I reached the 90-ish chapters and everything went downhill from there The last arc is just Mental Illness: The Series.

So basically, all three of them are regressors. By Rishar's 49th regression, Daphne already had her 999+, and Kailus was already on the hundreds as well. The current Daphne is not the og Daphne. She's long gone. Kailus realized it after the current Daphne who got isekaid into the novel got insane after regressing for almost a thousand times. And because of regressing so many times, she became the most powerful being in the novel, and was also the maim villain of the story. Anyway, after Daphne revealed to Kailus that they were inside a novel, Kailus also started to regress.

Daphne tried so many times to stop regressing. Kailus was in shock at first, but eventually came to accept that the Daphne he loved is no longer Daphne. Eventually, Rishar started to regress as well. On his 44th regression (take note that the series starts on his 49th regression), Rishar started to do the same things at the beginning of the story. Basically, his 49th regression is NOT the first time he has seduced Kailus lol. Anyway, Kailus fell in love with Rishar during his seduction attempts and tried to save him / warn him so many times about Daphne, but Rishar is too in love with Daphne that he still spouts the same shit in 126 out of 128 chapters . Daphne ends up killing Rishar and tells him that they are in a novel, and feeling betrayed and in denial, Rishar ends up hanging himself to death right after he regresses. Kailus keeps on trying to save him each time, but he ends up just finding Rishar's corpse hanging on the storage room of the palace.

Anyway, between the 44th and the 49th regression, Kailus manages to stab Rishar with a magic dagger that is able to erase the memories of a person so that Rishar can forget about Daphne and that he will stop being suicidal in each regression. But that ended up being futile anyway because in the 49th regression, Daphne does the same thing as the 44th and in Rishar's 50th regression, his suicidal spiral started again.

Each regression, Kailus kept on trying to save Rishar. There were times that he manages to see Rishar before he hangs himself, but he still ends up dying all the same. But since they can remember each regression, and Rishar is utterly depressed and blinded by his devotion to Daphne, he doesn't see the reason behind Kailus' efforts but he does keep on questioning why he cares so much about him.

Anyway, the series ends when Rishar finally acknowledges that even though he loves Daphne, he will pursue her no longer. With all three main characters out of the picture, the story ended and when Rishar and Kailus regressed, Daphne no longer exists.

....that might be good in summary, but seriously, the last arc is so bad I kinda regret buying the novel I hope the manhwa improves it. The Rishar we all know and love disappears in Chapter 90+ onwards, he becomes a serial killer who assassinates the supporters of Kailus' faction, he kinda becomes a puppet and doesn't even think, he is blind when it comes to Daphne even though he already saw her murder everyone, even Kailus, in front of him. He only wakes up in Chapter 126 (out of 128), that's how frustrating he has become

I’m confused, so this whole time Kalius never actually hated MC and has been aware he’s just trying to trick him? Did he sleep with him on purpose without the drug then?

But really I’m most confused on why whatever daphne says breaks him mentally?? Doesn’t mc know it’s a novel; how shocked can he be by other regressors?

Yes he's been aware this whole time... The current timeline is Rishar's 49th regression after all, and ML fell for him on his 44th regression due to the same events. The first time they slept together though in the 49th regression is because of the love potion. The love potion *should* only make the recipient sleep and make them think that they spent the night together if they have no feelings towards the other, but if they do, it works differently—the drug made the ML reveal his feelings for MC that he has been trying to hide, and they ended up having sex.

He's mostly shocked that the current Daphne is different from the one he loved, and he couldnt believe that she was able to betray him and even kill him because he loved her too much.

I already finished the side stories, tbh nothing much happens. One chapter was dedicated to the aftermath of the last chapter where they both regressed without Daphne during the banquet scene, and Kailus immediately asked Rishar for his hand in marriage in front of everyone. They were the talk of the town, and the main couple had sex. That's all

The other chapters in the side story focused more on the villainess' dad who had a thing for the emperor (Kailus' dad). In the main series, after Rishar's 49th regression, the villainess' dad also started to regress. In the side story, after the final regression (aka the defeat of Daphne), the gave up on his position as Duke and became more honest with his feelings for the emperor. They kinda got together because they kissed at the end of the chapter.

As for the rest of the side stories, it's just about the past and it's written in the empress' POV. She was in love with the villainess' dad and even though they were engaged and he didn't love her, it was okay with her because she got to be by his side. But she eventually realized that the dad was in love with the emperor (crown prince back then). Enraged, she decided to seduce the crown prince because if the dad won't fall in love with her, he wouldn't make him happy at all. The villainess' dad also realized his true feelings too late because his ex-fiancee and the crown prince are now married. That's it.

Thank you for telling me everything, so I know that I will not be too disappointed. I do hope they will change it, but I dealt that will happen...

I get what the Creator is trying to do, but I feel like the execution could have been better... (especially wish Daphne made it very clear that she isn't really in love with any of them for real and actually grow out of it.) shouldn't have stayed crazy for that long and I do feel like they should insert more romance so that it does hit harder. (plus ngl is so sad to hear that only when she doesn't exit does the story allow them to be together...) This is my thought from what I heard from your plot summary.

Update: I just saw it's also because like the writer/the story itself is also manipulating their own feelings, so that is why. The story is enforcing those feeling even though he probably do not feel that way.... fahh it has to become a BL in order for them to fell in love like fahhh that is so fahh....

Actually, after the Emperor was assassinated by Daphne (surprise! lol), Richard's character started to become a shell of his former self, he became directionless that he ended up doing whatever Kailus' adoptive brother tells him to do—hence, Rishar's serial killings of everyone in Kailus' faction. His mental health already in shambles, he meets Daphne by chance and he ends up confessing to her. Unfortunately for him, her response wasn't just rejection—she even had the audacity to laugh at him, and he took it hard.

And thus, Rishar's mental health sunk to the bottom of the barrel lol. After he kills the Duke (the one with the fling with the emperor), Kailus kidnaps him so that he would stop killing everyone and so that he won't witness what Daphne really is. But Richard manages to escape after a few days, and he witnesses Daphne killing everyone, including Kailus, who told him to run away from Daphne.

Idk why I summarized another plot but yeah no worries Daphne made it clear in the 49th regression that ain't into anyone, actually even the yuri "sideplot" doesn't really go anywhere. Rishar is the only one who has feelings for her because it is forced by the novel itself.

This novel could've had more romance between the MC and the ML because seriously, even in the second to the last chapter, Rishar still says that he loves Daphne He knows he's falling for Kailus (but not to the same amount as he does, it's more like guilt srsly) but he still can't deny that he loves Daphne even though he knows it's no longer the Daphne he loves. I've never seen Rishar return Kailus' feelings wholeheartedly except maybe for the last scene and the first chapter of the side story They really should've developed Rishar's feelings for Kailus first.

Yes. Actually the last chapter where Rishar said that he loves Daphne (while FINALLY developing feelings for Kailus) is Chapter 127. And the main story has 128 chapters Here's the screenshot of the scene lol

    OH MY GOD BRUH LMAO
is the side story still ongoing? bc in delbechino's twt account she said shes still writing on kailus and rishar's side story. since this is her debut work, i guess she wants to try somrthing different from the usual BL formulas (plot first, developing the romance later on ss) but kinda failed flat on the execution

    Lealll July 30, 2026 2:57 am

Omg that's a long ass paragraph. Is this happy ending? We even have a depression phase ughhh

    noire July 30, 2026 11:38 pm

    Thank you for this summary!

Okay maybe the execution isn't as good as it could be, but from the summary alone, I love the concept??
    1. I like "everyone is mentally ill" story (this story isn't serious from the very start anyway)
    2. I like that everyone is regressors
    3. It has old men yaoi
    4. Serial killer Rishar does not bother me like he's not right in the head at all & kills the ML in chapter 1, I mean??
    5. Crazy Daphne also does not bother me, it's better than having her being a plot device

The only complaint I have is probably making Daphne the ultimate villain, I was hoping she'd be one of the crazies but still homegirl

So this isn't rofan lol, this is psychological horror . And so the lack of romance is okay for me but yea if the execution is bad, it'll feel like they're making the characters make a sudden moral switch for shock value and for the sake of defying tropes only... I'll read it someday if I have time

For now it's marked as completed, but when I read what you said about the author's twitter, I checked it out and looks like there are still future side stories.... I hope we get to see more of the main couple because the old man yaoi took 90% of the screentime in the side stories lol
