I really appreciated how the author actually fleshed out their careers and how they take pride in their own work. I found myself truly respecting and admiring their work ethic, as well as fully convinced they are a true expert in their field. Recently, finding reliable and trustworthy adults in bl have become such a rarity.

Only other work I can think of that builds the characters work persona is probably No Moral, but I would love some recommendations of decent adults at work or actually good at their job.

Additionally, I know a lot of people enjoy when the ml treats the mc different from everyone else. But for me the most attractive thing an ml can do is showcase their discipline and treat the mc the same despite their feelings. That's why I really liked how the ml in this and in No Moral made clear boundaries between their work and personal lives while still keeping the mc accountable for their work.

I can see the appeal of treating the mc as someone special but I can't help but think actions that call for it can sometimes undermine all the work the ml put into building their career as well as the integrity they hold for it.
