That's not the only thing she did.
She's the kind of person who always believed she was special. Someone with "Main Character" energy, because she is indeed blessed by their goddess.
Diana led Cael on. She knew that he loved her but she chose Helios (the crown prince) because apparently his position was better. She did not directly reject Cael, instead she expected him to always be there for her and expect him to be happy for her despite not choosing him. If you ask me, this is a total d#ck move.
Helios also expected the same. They were too focused on their own happiness that they neglected their own friend who was suffering because they never thought of his well-being.
They apparently knew he was depressed and distant with them but they thought he'd come around and focused more on themselves. Which, ultimately drove him to hurting himself.
1) That doesn’t justify Helios’s actions, even if she wasn’t any better. 2) It’s exhausting and disappointing to see yet another story where the heroine is once again this manipulative, selfish girl—we’re starting to get tired of it, especially since most of the time—and here as well—it’s used to inspire empathy for the FL or the ML (in this case, Helios; and to justify the FL's actions), without any real depth or nuance on either side. It's easy writing.

I do agree with you and the og commenter, that FL is indeed a very selfish character. It was refreshing to see a main character that isn't really the heroine type. More like an obsessive fan extra.
I'm not taking either side (FL or Diana) because they were both villains if you look at it as an observer.
Diana's a narc with main character syndrome, and FL was really unstable since the beginning of the story. To think she was so committed to torturing Diana to make her apologize to Cael when Cael himself doesn't want any. He just wants to forget them and move on but FL wasn't letting up.
She claimed she's doing all of them for Cael but she never really listened to what he wanted. Even opted for suicide when she realized how everything she did for him was all for nothing when he tells her he wants to stop and focus on them now.
I gotta be honest, I was really trying my best to understand the FL since she is the main character but I knew deep down how wrong she was in everything and I mentioned how frustrating that was in my previous comments.
Guess the other comments just made me realize there was no need to pick a side between the two because they all sucked in this story.
I understand what you're saying. Personally, I have to admit I was disappointed on both sides, because I saw potential in this manhwa.
I'm still in the very early episodes and the mc kinda rubs me the wrong way with how she villainised Diana because she dumped her favourite character. it just gives boymom energy. i know the author probably gonna reveal that Diana is some bitchy character later on but did the mc know of that fact? cus all im seeing her reason to be mad at Diana is bcus she didnt appreciate the thing Cael did for her
