Yeah, like it has such good ideas. So much wasted potential or misdirected guidance from their editor or author themselves. It's mostly sex which is not bad itself, it gave us such weird stuff, but like... It created expectations that were not entirely fulfilled.
It's such a shame because it sounds really cool, but it feels like the author just wanted a sexy story and threw the plot together. It reminds me of how they ended the main story of "Full Volume"; the antagonist is easily arrested in one panel and it's not really a big deal, and neither characters' background is heavily explored. Then there's the first side story that has a really interesting idea with MC being a lawyer and being in unique situations, but then they turn it into a childhood romance--which isn't bad, but squanders the plot. Then the second side story decides to show that the semes' dad and grandfather are homophobes who don't know they're gay...but eventually they come out in this very dramatic way with no consequences, so it feels like it was all for nothing. Then one of the ukes is getting back into school, but his family life isn't fully explored as much either and the conversation of age gaps in a relationship--even though he and his love interest are only 6 years apart, so it's not that bad. Yeah, I think Albert just isn't good at this stuff. A part of me wonders if he just wants to make fluffy stories but the publisher or audience makes him feel like he needs to have some sort of conflict. It reminds me of how "Our Sunny Days" introduces conflict that is resolved almost immediately and wasn't built up.
And I'm still confused about the visuals dropped when this first came out with an investigator. That never played a role.
MC mentions how his fathers were abused and several of his siblings were sent away, but after leaving the perpetrators to his half-sister, he just goes away with the ML, as if he's forgotten them all. Then there's the fact that the ML in his original life sexually assaulted and abused MC, and now he drugged MC for sexual purposes. And THEN there's the fact that this story has good ideas, but it doesn't really jump on them; the catalyst for this series was the inequality of alphas and omegas, but it's not expanded upon beyond the flashback; heck, their genders are barely mentioned at all--I don't even think it's been acknowledged that MC could get pregnant by ML. And in this recent chapter, ML takes MC to a place where supernatural creatures are, which is the only time we've gotten to see other magical creatures outside of ML's house. This series is a patchwork of ideas with very little development or plot. We're 73 chapters in, and I'm 100% sure we could trim this series down by half and still have the same amount of development.
