i really enjoyed gaon’s character, it’s rare to see another female character written in depth aside from the main character. usually, female side characters are written as some villainous bitch out to destroy the fmc or a subservient girl whose only purpose is to suck up to the fmc or make her seem more attractive/ valuable. also liked that she wasn’t as good as she was portrayed. she developed a savior complex after her parents’ passing and that in turn led to her delayed development of negative emotions. i’m glad that in the end, she realized that she doesn’t need to be a hero and she can have negative feelings if she wants to. it’s a shame that we probably won’t see her again. i loved seeing the friendship between her and the fmc, they were so cute together

omg yes! kihyun is your typical possessive ml and usually authors write it off as a green flag but i’m so glad we got to see that gaon felt it was isolating her. she couldn’t come to kihyun and tell him things because he would act on his own. and then her admitting she felt relieved to not see him made me so happy. just because a man does something for you doesn’t mean it’s good or that you have to appreciate it
I feed sad that Gaon has to be the bigger and most mature person in multiple situations and bonds not to escalate things, and avoid "negative" emotions that she deems as harmful.
She is emotionally mature, but to the detriment of her mental state.
She deserves to get mad, exhausted, enraged, and jealous as they are natural emotions.
She's victim of emotional abuse by her parents as they taught/indoctrinated her that she must suppress her emotions :(, which is rooted in misogyny and child abuse in order to control children.
