i mean i’m that same vein though i don’t think every story needs to have grueling conflict that last over multiple episodes and have a dedicated arc. this also could just be a bl that’s lighthearted with mild conflict. i think that’s also an aspect of what people enjoy about this series, me included. i like to see them resolve their misunderstandings quickly cause despite it being quick i feel like the dialogue between them is sweet and nice to read. i feel like if i wanted to read a bl that had intense conflict i’d just read another series

This series is REALLY BAD with how it introduces conflict and how quickly it introduces resolutions. The conversation of it being hard to be a male couple in Korea is brought up several times, but the duo never really face hardships because of it, making the conversation--while true--unnecessary. Even when the couple discuss it themselves, it's very quickly resolved--but it's weird since one of them called it an argument....when it wasn't. Then there's the fact that the seme's dad is NEVER mentioned until he just happens to pop up, and we learn that the seme has anger towards him due to leaving him and his mom. And shortly after, the father reveals there was a legitimate reason--and then he also mentions having a big family back in the states but the duo makes no moves to go visit, despite it being an option to get legally married there.
IDK if the author feels pressured to add conflict when they don't want to, or if they DO want to but just don't know how, but it comes off as dissatisfying. I'm not saying I want conflict (I need more fluffy stories), but if you're gonna introduce it, do something with it rather than suddenly throw it in there and then there's an easy fix to it.
