So her dad is a man named Esther, who was a holy knight during the mythological era. He worked together with the last god to kill the other gods of that world, to delay the apocalypse. Because of this he transcended into an immortal being himself, but received various curses from the very gods he killed. He couldn’t return to his world and was instead trapped within it. One of the curses made it so he couldn’t show or see his own face, so when the two fell in love neither knew what the other looked like.
