Tbh I don’t think he has yearned enough yet. This whole “we’re not going to ever need to worry about marriage” mindset is going to start another arc just watch. Either that or he just changes his mind and goes all “lets marry”. I do understand that its the one part of his life that he feels he truly has control over, and that’s also why he took so long in coming around to date MC, however it wasn’t even his idea. If his friend (who also seems to be hopeless in finding someone he truly cares about) didn’t say anything then ML would still be wallowing in jealousy and self pity and “woe is me why isn’t she choosing me even though i KNOW she wanted to be my girlfriend”.
All in all, bro is a loser and FL shoulda chosen one of the other men who could’ve provided more emotional fulfillment but hey, they weren't the ML.
