Completely agree with how underwhleming the reveal was. Do they literally just sit down and talk on a couch as if they were talking ab what to eat for dinner like what.. if this wasn't gonna go the detailed/political/action route, i was really hoping for more guilt on the seme side. The story seemed, at least to me, to be preparing to go the angsty route and was actually excited
I'm also setting aside the pdf vibe before saying this.
I was mostly fine with the story, but what was lacking is the fact that MC should have been more scared of ML just because all the evidence and how Ml acted before did point ML killing him. And it seemed to be a nightmare that MC keep seeing, the story hinted on that.
But seems that either editor or author bailed on middle of that idea, because it was way too casual, and maybe they just decided it was too scary. This can really depend on also who is the publisher of the story, so it was made lighter because editor/publisher wanted to - not because of the mangaka.
Same time, this might be also mangakas first full volume work and not based on any novel - so these also seem like first time writer problems (that good editor should have fixed). The story seem to borrow a bit from old ideas how BL use to be, but same time using childhood shoujo way of writing it.
It could have been mix of both, new mangaka, but editor that is still stuck with some of those old tropes. Especially the random pdf part, with that big of an age cap, for no reason was out of old Japanese BL stuff.
Personally, there is so much potential in this story, and I'm crying seeing it going to waste. Just little bit rewrites had been enough to fix most of it.
TOTALLY they COULD have made griz like 18 and towa 15 and griz like a genius fighter or smth and it wouldnt matter if 4 years or 15 years go by. Like the age gap isnt even worth it???
They could have hinted theres like otherworlder hunter with political backing and going on full mode detective. Or or! They could like go with the political drama of royals needing other worlder for something with mc still having trauma of being killed.

AGREED. The progression is weird… & I feel like Towa accepts things way too easily.
Setting aside the pdf thingy that is happening here, this manga been going for 2 volume and the only interesting thing that happenned is towa being able to activate griz power.
I have a very high tolerance yaoi bullshitness for me as long as they get together and fuck on appropriate age its ok. But even then story wise... its not even good.., or interesting, or anything you should be expecting. The identity reveal is lackluster, the story actually going nowhere, ml is pushy af.
Conclusion: you should skip ^^
