This just my assumptions and observation so take this infos with a grain of salt. In vampire age masaki isnt really that old, he's only just in his 80s, for masaki and other fangs who are vampires that live in tokyo, a fashion capital i'm pretty sure they would know how to dress up and follow trends, and also vampires in the series live in populated and commercialized areas and not in a castle or manor in the middle of nowhere like vampires in other stories, so their aware of trends that passes, plus they arent the type of vampires that sleep for years, they're the type of vampires that despite their age they follow trends through different time periods really well so they can blend in society better, plus they probably find it entertaining to dress up since everyone has an interest in fashion and has their respective styles. lol though after seeing masaki, and sugi skating i also thought about that scene with steve buscemi of "how do you do, fellow kids?". Fangs dont necessarily use plastic surgery and piercings to look young, i think its more like they change their faces so that people wont notice that they dont change at all, like changing the eyelids, face shape, lips etc. an example is masaki, if masaki didnt change his appearance and still stayed with mariko, other humans will suspect that he isnt normal, like imagine being a customer in their cafe for decades and noticing that he doesnt age and still look like in his late 20s even after these years, even i would be suspicious, masaki changes his face so that he can stay with mariko and avoid peoples suspicion. As for the piercings he probably had a minimalist image back before his recent surgery, he probably want a different image this time. The manga shows that vampire society is hidden from humans and vampires blend in human society well, i kinda understand mariko's choice about hiding masaki because masaki doesnt age, people will start to suspect and his child might accidentally reveal to others what he is, which is a big deal, though this is gonna be a bit of a spoilers but in the new chapters theirs this long haired vampire guy (forgot his name) were humans in his town discovered that he's a vampire and tried to burn him and his family alive after discovering what he is, and after a century later a descendant of his former family started to spread that he's a vampire thats why ichii had to catch the guy and bring him to utsugi to erase his memory. Though for masaki's situation i think its funny to think that everytime his adult child comes visit mariko he sees a different guy every couple of years as his mothers boyfriend since masaki changes his face often, bro probably thinks his mother's a cougar and has game . Ichi's tattoo probably meant suffering and redemption since crosses are usualy associated with that plus it was placed above his self harm scar it kinda checks out since he feels guilt on what happened to the harem because just like the tattoo the events that he experienced during and after the harem cant be erased, his guilt makes him remember. its also true that it was never explained the bad things he was made to do but in my assuption based on the panels and hints, i think its possibly brainwashing, m**der, self harm or maybe even torture but who knows maybe not. Yeah i'm kinda curious too on their house layout, the rooms seems very spacious despite being only shown in a few panels and ichii seems to have a minimalist preference. The author often implied that ichi likes fashion, well not just ichi but everyone in the manga is associated with their respective brands like, en with supreme/nike, ichii with gucci, sugi with prada, aogiri with louis vuitton, momo and umesaki with louboutin, masaki with burberry, mariko with chanel and megi with versace. And yeah i also noticed that ichii has other vechicles beside the gwagon, he has another benz and a harley davidson so yeah bros loaded.I also think theirs a lot of questions in the manga that i want some answers like why is en an orphan, who was this friend group he talked about and do they even know that he's alive?, how old is ichii cause even in the newer chapters they would avoid revealing his age, whats this greek mythology things about the hydras poison megi was yapping about?. Now that i realized how long i typed i feel so unemployed despite being actually employed

One thing that bothered me tho was even tho Masaki was old he still dressed like a young person? Like how would he know how young people wear nowadays? Like you’re showing me this ancient vampire in a thrasher hoodie and a backwards cap like ok sure bud. Was he just trying to blend in like hello fellow kids…? Also I’ve been so confused on why they use piercings and plastic surgery like they don’t age so it’s not like they’re trying to look young and piercings don’t really change anything so tf. And why was Aogiri who is a plastic surgeon on the scene to investigate a crime unless it’s to help out his boyfriend who seems to know things which I’m sure will be explained in the next volume. And it never like explains if vampires are like known to the outside world or not which I’m guessing not because Mariko said she kept info from her son about his real father to protect the fact that he’s a vampire which I felt like was dumb cause I’m pretty sure it would be better to have a father than not like it seems like other humans can live with vampires so I don’t see the problem but whatever ig. And they never explained Ichi’s tattoo unless it was something connected to the harem but if it was why would it be a cross like I’m pretty sure it didn’t have to do with religion and not a lot of Japanese people are Christian so I doubt Ichi is. And he never explained exactly how he got all his scares besides “he made me do bad things” and poor En thought it was bad to ask for more background info like bitch I’d be mad that nobody had told me about it up until that point. You’re telling me you’re gonna let a guy stick his dong in you and you don’t even know his background like??? Id also like to see more pictures of like the settings like what their house looks like and id like it if the author made it like a personality quirk that Ichi likes fashion but he also drives a G wagon idk if anyone else saw that
